
About the Course
Certificate Program in Bioethics provide individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate complex ethical issues in healthcare, research, and public policy so that they are equipped to uphold ethical standards. The program covers diverse topics, such as patient autonomy, informed consent, end-of-life care, genetic testing and counselling, and research ethics and is intended for students and researchers in medicine, psychology, public health, behavioural economics, and biotechnology. Through interactive lectures, case studies, and discussions, students better understand the complexities of bioethical issues while learning how to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to make ethically informed decisions. Furthermore, in today's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, this training is paramount for fostering trust while promoting respect for human dignity in all aspects of decision-making.
Course Content
The course will cover ethical theories and principles in an interactive lecture-based format, while case studies will be conducted in a group discussion format. The topics for case studies include:
Physician-assisted suicide
Abortion

Assisted reproductive technologies
Clinical research
Animal research
Stem cells and cloning
Transplantation
Right to healthcare
Food security
The program will be delivered in 10 lessons, each lasting 2 hours. Additional classes will be implemented at no extra cost if the students need more time to explore and understand the ethical issues. All our lessons are activity based with a clear learning objective. Therefore, we do not use textbooks, and all learning materials will be provided to the student in the class. The cost of learning materials is included in the fees.
